Thomas R. Snyder

Managing Director, Private Banking

Tom has been with Nashville Bank & Trust since the Bank’s inception in 2004. Tom served as an Executive Vice President of Private Banking at National Bank of Commerce, which he joined in 2001. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President of the Private Client Group at SunTrust Bank, where he worked in private banking from 1992-2001. Tom joined SunTrust (then Third National Bank) in 1984 having been at the First National Bank of Louisville where he started his banking career in 1972. He is a graduate of University of Kentucky and Stonier Graduate School of Banking. Tom serves on the finance committee for Nashville Habitat for Humanity and on the board and as secretary for Gilda’s Club of Nashville. He has also served as President of Leukemia Society of Tennessee and presently serves on the National Leukemia Society Board is the Chairman of its Investment Committee.

Derrick A. Jones

Managing Director, Wealth Management Services

Derrick joined Nashville Bank & Trust in January 2004, eight months ahead  of our opening day. Derrick previously served as a Senior Vice President/ Fiduciary Services Manager for SunTrust Bank, where he managed the largest trust and estate department in Tennessee. An attorney, he earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University of Alabama, where he received the W.T. Goodloe Rutland Scholarship and was Junior Editor of the Law & Psychology Review. He is also a Certified Financial Planner, Certified Trust and Financial Advisor, Registered Securities Representative (Series 7 and 66), Registered Securities Principal (Series 24), and licensed insurance agent. He is a graduate of St. Leo College, where he graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Business/Finance. Derrick served six years in the Naval Submarine Service and is a member of multiple bar associations, the financial planning association and the Estate Planning Council.
